Note: Filmmaker Shomu Mukherji (65), father of actor Kajol passed away following a massive cardiac arrest.
He is survived by actor-wife Tanuja, daughters Kajol and Tanisha and two brothers. Mukherji was unwell for some time and had to be hospitalised. He breathed his last at 8.20 am at his home. Mukherji’s passing away comes on the eve of the release of ‘U Me Aur Hum’, the directorial debut of son-in-law Ajay Devgan. However, the
film will be released on schedule.
