When the 20-something Carran Kapur (yes, he spells his name this way thanks to Sanjay Jumani) came to Mumbai three years ago he was dead sure that he would make it on the silver screen in a big way. Today, he is eagerly waiting for the release of his debut film 'Rok Sako To Rok Lo' with Sunny Deol and is also busy shooting for 'Deewane Ho Gaye' for Sunil Agnihotri, besides being thrilled about a very big banner film, which should be announced soon.
Born and brought up in Delhi, this commerce graduate always wanted to be an actor. With this dream in his eyes he landed up in Mumbai, a city where he knew no one. Luck favored him almost instantly and he started doing modeling assignments. Advertisements for Frooti, Kotex, Luxor Pens, Kinetic Zing, Borosoft Soap, Himalaya Skin Cream and Protein Shampoo, Citibank, American Express and Reliance Web World (the 'Mujhme Hai Woh Baat' campaign, which sees his hoardings at all Reliance Web World outlets all over the country) are some of the prominent works of Carran.

After doing a few music videos, Carran landed up bagging the role that would change his life. "I was doing my acting course with Kishore Namit Kapoor and was learning dance with Shiamak Davar. During the course I went for an audition for the film 'Rok Sako To Rok Lo', which was being made by Mr. Arindam Chaudhari. Fortunately for me out of several hundred aspiring actors I was chosen for the role," informs Carran adding, "It was always a dream to work with a senior actor like Sunny Deol. He has been a friend, guide, philosopher all throughout the making of this film".
Refusing to reveal too much about his role in the film, which should be released around the 10th of December, Carran says that he plays a spoiled brat in the film. There are enough of songs, action and emotional scenes in the film that have helped Carran to showcase his versatile talent as an actor.
While many people refuse to sign more films before their debut one releases, Carran has already got two films on hand. 'Deewane Ho Gaye' stars Shilpa Anand opposite him while the other film is with a big established actress. "I have been fortunate to get exciting roles even before my debut film has released. My producers have shown confidence in my talent and this is a very comforting sign for me as an actor," says Carran.
Let's see where the future takes him. Don't forget to watch 'Rok Sako To Rok Lo' on the 10th of December to see Carran perform.
