Arjun became Rohit's protégé and was extremely 'close' to him for a good part of his career when the latter promoted him. For a long while, Arjun went through a pretty lean patch in his modeling career and his debut movie 'Moksh' (with Manisha Koirala, directed by Ashok Mehta) was not releasing. One of India's sought after male supermodels himself (along with Rahul Dev and Milind Soman), Arjun married female Indian supermodel, Mehr Jessia. His cute, clean-cut and chiseled face makes him a great hit with men and women alike. Recently, Mehr gave birth to a girl, Mahikaa. Rajiv Rai cast Arjun in a music video 'Don't Marry' with model Namrata Baruwah and then picked him up from the dumps to launch him in 'Pyaar, Ishq Aur Mohabbat' with Keerti Reddy, Suniel Shetty and Aftab Shivdasani. The film did not fare well but Arjun bagged many acting offers, which got his career going. He played second fiddle to Akshay Kumar in Vipul Shah's 'Aankhen', which did reasonably well. His much-delayed 'Moksh' finally saw the light of the day but bombed. Then Vashu Bhagnani gave him a break in 'Deewaanapan' (opposite Dia Mirza), which bombed as well. Tips cast him opposite Preity Zinta and Mahima Chaudhry in 'Dil Hai Tumhaara', which also bombed. His friend Shabbir Boxwala gave him the opportunity to work opposite Aishwarya Rai in his 'Dil Ka Rishta', which failed. Recently, Khalid Mohamed cast him opposite Urmila Matondkar in his 'Tehzeeb', in which his performance was widely appreciated. Arjun's next release is Rajiv Rai's 'Asambhav' opposite Priyanka Chopra and Naseeruddin Shah. Unarguably, Arjun, who is in desperate need of a hit, is banking heavily on this flick. He will also play second fiddle to Aamir Khan in Rakeysh Mehra's 'Rang De Basanti', which will start sometime early next year. He is one of the many heroes (with John Abraham and Rahul Khanna) in Vikram Bhatt's forthcoming 'Elaan'. Currently, he is shooting for Neeraj Vora's 'Dil Sachcha Chehra Jhootha' with Dia. Not many know that Arjun still has an unreleased film that has been in the cans for a long time now - Shantanu Sheorey's 'Jadh' opposite Smriti Mishra. But that's another story!
