He's just one film old, and everyone from the audience to the critics is raving about his looks, his acting, his personality, and already tagged him as the dark horse in the long race. Vivek Oberoi has arrived, his first film has won him accolades and reviews that even established actors hunger for. His portrayal of the cunning yet innocent and street smart Chandu in Ram Gopal Verma's Comapany has created a furore like Bhiku Mhatre created with Satya.

With his dad Suresh Oberoi a veteran actor himself, Vivek always wanted to do movies, but turned down umpteen offers which wanted him to do the regualr song-n-dance routine. Finally his dream role, landed at his door when Verma offered him Company. Working with a cast that has Ajay Devgan's intensity, Manisha Koirala's maturity, and Anatara Mali's vulnerability ,Vivek learned many thing on the sets. He doesn't have the conventional hero looks, but yet can mould himself in any role.
Company has taken off to a flying start not just in the metros but all over, if the film is a hit, then Vivek will be next hot thing, if it fails, yet his power house performance will get him many offers. He already has shot Verma's 'Road' which is slated to release this year. Vivek Oberoi has shown maturity in his performance and accpetance of the adoration that he has received. All his interviews are full of thank-you's to everyone that has helped him, and the guy has his head firm on his shoulders. Inspite of having worked with stalwarts in Company, Vivek has made his presence felt, and that is a huge thing to do. He has decided to be choosy in his roles, and accept only those which give him a challenge. This is one actor definitely worth watching, Vivek take a bow!
