Post 'Lage Raho...' ARSHAD WARSI talks to Vickey Lalwani.

Did you expect 'Lage Raho Munnabhai' to be appreciated so much?
Well, I knew that the film had a lot of potential. So I am really not surprised. Plus people like to see me with Sanjay Dutt.

Then why didn't Raj Kaushal's 'Anthony Kaun Hai?' work?
Every film needs to leave an impact on one's mind after he or she comes out of the theatre. Kaushal's film didn't move me. I am sure that he'll make it up and make a better film next time.

You keep doing comedy. Why?
It's not a conscious decision. I do have a flair for comedy. But if you look back, I did a serious role in 'Saher', which was highly praised. I am certainly looking to do a variety of roles. I want to dance around trees too (laughs).

Has the recent success changed you in person?
Yes. Initially, I could not separate the bad roles from the good ones. I used to blindly follow my secretary's judgment. Today, I have matured both as an actor and a person.

But you are not a safe bet as a solo hero?
I am satisfied doing multistarrers.

Back to 'Lage Raho...'. Why weren't you shown much in the second half?
That's entirely the director's call. Ask Kaushal about this.

Tell us about 'Kabul Express'...
It canvasses the life of two reporters covering the aftermath of the war in Afghanistan.

Is that film a commercially viable proposition?
Yes, you will know it once it comes up.

It's said that you have hiked up your price?
Well, we all need to pay our bills. I think I am justified in asking for more, now.

Your forthcoming films?
Apart from 'Kabul...' and 'Lage Raho...', I am doing Ashtavinayak's 'Dhamaal'. I am also doing a film with Kabir Kaushik (who directed 'Saher') and a film with Vikram Bhatt.
