The new kid on the block NISHA KOTHARI in conversation with VICKEY LALWANI:

As a newcomer, you seem to be working too hard?
I have been doing three shifts for the past six months. It has made me quite ill. My therapist has advised me to go on a fruit diet. My next stint is in South Africa for Ramuji's 'Shiva' and I plan to extend my stay there.

'Shiva' is a remake of 'James'. Was it fun reprising her role?
Well, 'Shiva' is not a remake of 'James' nor is it a remake of the original 'Shiva' starring Nagarjuna. There are no similarities between these three films.

You are being hailed as the next sex-bomb?
I do have a nice body, but I don't want to be a pin-up girl. At the end of the day, I want to be known for my acting potential. That will come with time, I guess.

Are you working on your acting?
It's a natural process. The more you work, the more you evolve. Ramuji has brought out the best of me in 'Shiva'. Looking back at 'James', I am sure that I have evolved as an actor.

Why are you averse to kissing?
Perhaps you are referring to the kissing scene in 'Killer' where I got nervous when Emraan Hashmi played a prank and I was told that he was supposed to kiss me for a scene. I am uncomfortable with kissing scenes, though I do not mind wearing skimpy outfits. On kissing, I am a novice off-screen too. I need to get myself a steady boyfriend to get acquainted with the process.

Buzz is, you had a fight with your 'Shiva' co-star Mohit Ahlawat?
That's not true. I had a big laugh when I first heard about some write-ups in that regard. If we have any difference of opinion, we go to each other directly. We wouldn't go to the press. That fight is a figment of some idle and wild mind. Mohit and I have no issues with each other.

Why is Ramu so keen to promote you?
I don't know. I am so happy. I don't question his motives. He is my mentor and I respect him a lot. We have a great professional relationship.
