Former model and Channel [V] VJ SUSHMA REDDY makes her film debut with Vivek Agnihotri's 'Chocolate' (Suniel Shetty, Anil Kapoor, Irrfan Khan, Tanushree Dutta) this Friday.

Excerpts from an interview by Vickey Lalwani:

How did 'Chocolate' happen?
I did not plan my entry in Bollywood. If I wanted to, I could have done it years ago. I can't count how many offers I have received (pauses).

Go on...
Someone from his unit had bounced off my name to Vivek Agnihotri (director). I met Vivek, liked the script and did not think twice after that. Luckily, my gut feeling worked well. The film is an edge-of-the-seat thriller.

Your role?
I play a neurotic and disorganized girl. She acts as the catalyst to the entire suspense and drama in the film.
Any homework you had to do?
Nothing as such was told. But yes, we had a month-long workshop with Pallavi Joshi, which helped us to shape our roles. Then I worked on my body language. Vivek told me that he had Erin Brockovich (Julia Roberts) in mind while penning my role. Frankly, it was a compliment (smiles).

Working with Vivek Agnihotri?
It was a very friendly unit. It was like family. I was never made to feel like anewcomer. I was never scolded for goofing up a scene.

Forthcoming films?
Priyadarshan's film with Kareena Kapoor and Shahid Kapur in a remake of the South hit 'Punjabi House'.

Equation with Sameera?
We are poles apart. We fight, we differ, but every night, we make up before going to sleep. I don't think that I can do without her. I'm looking forward to working with her.

Ready for media pen?
Please, I will keep away from it, come what may.
