PRIYANKA CHOPRA is unarguably the most happening female in Bollywood today. Vickey Lalwani caught up with her for a few questions.
Excerpts from her answers:
We hear you did a very difficult stunt in Rakesh Roshan's 'Krrish'?
I can't tell you how much I enjoyed doing that stunt. It was a 40-foot jump. I wasn't scared at all but the entire unit was very tense. I have done skydiving and bungee jumping before, so I was cool.
What role do you play in 'Krrish'?
I play a schoolgirl in the first half. Later my role evolves into a journalist. So there'll be two distinct looks.
Any compliment that Rakesh Roshan gave you?
He said that I could carry off both sexy and simple looks.

Your next film is 'Barsaat'?
It's a love story. It's the aspirations of a small town girl who wants to marry and have kids with the guy she loves, but when her dreams get shattered she moves on in life.
Before Bobby Deol, Akshay Kumar was supposed to play the lead?
Right. I don't know why Akshay didn't do. I was told by Suneel Darshan (producer) that he couldn't match the dates he needed.
Apart from 'Krrish' and 'Barsaat', which are your forthcoming projects?
I will be doing Rumi Jaffrey's film opposite Salman Khan. I have been signed by Mukta Arts to do a film under Satish Kaushik's direction. I am doing Farhan Akhtar's remake of 'Don'.
How does it feel to be on the top?
I don't want to ponder on the numbers game or else I won't be able to concentrate on my work. I don't even do a post-mortem of my films, which flop.

You are considered very sexy?
Yes. But thank God, I am not considered as a sex symbol. I want to be known for my acting abilities. I am still running away from the 'Aitraaz' image. This industry quickly slots you into a certain bracket. I want to shun that.
Do you identify with any of the roles, which you've done?
No. A role and my personality are two different things. As an actor, I keep both separate or else when I play a mad girl's role, I would go really mad (laughs).
As an artiste, have you found your forte?
Not yet. I am doing a variety of roles but have yet to judge what I am best at.
