Delhi's High Court has adjourned the hearing on Subhash Ghai's Black & White until May 23, 2008.  Earlier this month Khalid Alvi, the brother of congress MP Rashid Alvi filed a petition against the film, stating that its integral character Rajan Mathur, an Urdu professor from Zakir Hussain College (played by Anil Kapoor) who becomes a suicide bomber is based on him. He also claims that the character of Rajya Sabha, who supports the terrorist (played by Akash Khurana), resembles his brother MP Rashid Alvi.

Black & White is the story of a terrorist and his journey to accomplish his only mission in life. The film was released worldwide on March 7, 2008 under the Mukta Searchlight banner.
