T-Series Files Case Against Café Coffee Day

Bhushan Kumar's Super Cassettes Industries Limited has filed suits in Delhi High Court against the Connaught Hotel, M/s Hotel Hans Plaza and Hotel City Park, New Delhi and M/s Amalgamated Bean Coffee (Café Coffee Day), for infringement of sound recording and musical works of the company under The Copyright Act.
The Delhi High Court was pleased to grant an Ex-parte Injunction Orders in favour of the Super Cassettes Industries Limited (T-Series), restraining the said hotels and Café Coffee Day from using the plaintiff's works for the purposes of broadcast in their internal network and telecasting the impugned program in their premises without first obtaining an appropriate license from the plaintiff and paying the license fee. These orders were passed while hearing the interim injunction application.
