Veteran actor Satyen Kappu passes away

Veteran actor Satyen Kappu passed away last night in Mumbai due to a massive cardiac arrest. A diabetic and high blood pressure patient, Satyen Kappu was 76 years old and is survived by his wife and four daughters. His funeral was held this morning and was attended by his veteran colleagues and friends.
Remembered for his portrayal of a helpless father in various films, Satyen Kappu will be remembered for his notable roles in films like 'Deewar', where he played father to Amitabh Bachchan and Shashi Kapoor, 'Sholay', 'Don', 'Coolie', 'Kati Patang' and many more. In his career spanning over four decades Satyen Kappu has acted in nearly 300 films.
