Subhash Ghai - Emmy Awards jury member

The International Academy of Television Arts and Sciences has invited Subhash Ghai to represent India as a juror for the final selection of the 35th International Emmy Awards in the U.S.A. This is the third time in a row that Ghai has been selected as a juror for the same.
Commenting on this news, Ghai said, "It is a great honour to be on the jury for the International Emmy Awards, since it stands purely on academic merits, not ruled by commercial forces or trading favours. I wish we could have such an international academy like the Emmy Awards will a foolproof system here in India as well."
This council is the largest organisation of global broadcasters with representatives from 50 countries on its board. It was chartered in 1969 with a mission to honour and encourage excellence in television programming outside the United States by presenting the international awards.
