IIFA AWARDS: RDB RULES

The International Indian Film Awards (IIFA), considered the Indian film industry's equivalent of the Oscars, took place on Saturday in the Sheffield Hallam Arena in northern England. Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra's 'Rang De Basanti' and Vidhu Vinod Chopra's 'Lage Raho Munnabhai' swept almost all the awards in all major categories. The following is the list of winner's film wise:

Best Movie Best Supporting Actress – Soha Ali Khan Best Music – A.R. Rahman Best Editor- P.S. Bharti Best Screenplay - Renzil D'Silva and Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra

LAGE RAHO MUNNABHAI

Best Director – Raj Kumar Hirani Best Supporting Actor – Arshad Warsi Best Dialogue – Raj Kumar Hirani and Abhijit Joshi Best Story - Raj Kumar Hirani

KRRISH Best Actor – Hrithik Roshan

KABHI ALVIDA NA KEHNA Best Actress – Rani Mukherjee

OMKARA Best Villain – Saif Ali Khan Best Singer – Sunidhi Chauhan 'Beedi Jalai le'

SPECIAL AWARDS

Glamour Stars – Bachchan family

Creative Person of the year – Rakesh Roshan

Shilpa Shetty – For her poise on the British reality television show "Celebrity Big Brother"

Lifetime achievement award – Dharmendra

The eight star-studded IIFA attracted 12,000 visitors to the auditorium and will be broadcasted to a global audience of nearly 500 million in 110 countries.
