Watchman files case against Bharat Bhai Shah

In a surprising case registered by a watchman of Royal Palms, Lakatu Damu Pathare, under the Schedule Cast and Tribe Act before the Aarey police station, a Magistrate Court has issued a bailable warrant against film financer Bharat Shah.

Shah, who bought 25 acres of land, was stopped from entering the premises by the watchman, after he had filed a case against the owner Amir Nensey on the charge of forcibly snatching the land from him. Shah is said to have abused the watchman on this move.

Under the Schedule Cast and Tribe Act, it is a criminal offence to abuse any member of a Scheduled Cast or Tribe. If proven, the person can be punished.

Bharat Shah has made films like 'Devdas', 'Border', et al.
