Farhan Akhtar was to play Abhay Deol's role!

Not many know that director Reema Kagti approached her mentor and director Farhan Akhtar for the role being essayed by Abhay Deol in 'Honeymoon Travels...' However, both 'Honeymoon Travels...' and 'DON' were going on the floors simultaneously, so Farhan couldn't play the part.
Incidentally, Abhay and Minissha Lamba got on very well during the shoot of 'Honeymoon Travels...'. There were rumours that he had a crush on her, something the two laughingly dismiss. Though Abhay admits, "Minissha is such a lightweight. That made it easier for me to do the tango song ( Pyaar Ki Ek Kahani...) with her in the film."
