Sohail prefers Ishaa to Dia

The producers of 'Salam-E-Ishq' were torn apart making a choice between Ishaa Koppikar and Dia Mirza to be cast opposite Sohail Khan. Even after having signed on Koppikar, the producers were in regular talks with Mirza.
Mirza admits that she was in talks with them. They needed dates immediately and she could not accommodate them. What could have become an open confrontation between the two girls was avoided by quirk of fate.
Koppikar, who was to report for shooting one day, was informed that the shoot had been cancelled. However, she later learned that Mirza had reported for shooting on that day. Finally, Sohail Khan intervened and made the producers decide on Koppikar.
