'Umrao Jaan' (old) composer Khayyam returns with 'Yatra'

As soon as the name Khayyam is mentioned, one cannot help but remember the soothing melodies of 'Footpath', 'Kabhi Kabhie', ' Umrao Jaan' and 'Razia Sultan', to name a classic few. His fans have been waiting for his Bollywood return for a while now. The good news is that the veteran composer is making a comeback after a hiatus of almost 10-years. The film in question is Gautam Ghoshe's Nana-Rekha starrer, 'Yatra'.
Talking about J.P. Dutta's version of 'Umrao Jaan' and more particularly its music by Anu Malik, and whether he would be able to do justice to it, Khayyam says that he can comment on Anu's compositions only after listening to it.
What is interesting to note is that the original lyricist of Muzaffar Ali's 'Umrao Jaan', Shaharyar too has a similar thing to say about Javed Akhtar's lyrics in the forthcoming Abhishek-Aishwarya starrer of the same name.
