For an actor who makes a concerted effort to avoid controversies, Akshaye Khanna has found himself in the middle of one with producer-director Subhash Ghai over the promotion of 'Shaadi Se Pehle'. Khanna is upset with Ghai for not properly promoting him in the film, but rather giving all the credit to Mallika Sherawat.
This is not the first time Khanna has felt let down. During the making of '36 China Town', he was not given enough credit and he came for the promotions just because of directors Abbas-Mustan.
It certainly seems that Ghai has a penchant for promoting his heroines in films. The same question came up during 'Pardes' and the over promotion of Mahima Chaudhry.
Currently, Khanna is looking forward sporting his new look in Suneel Darshan's 'Aap Ki Khatir' with Priyanka Chopra, Anil Kapoor's 'Mahatma V.S. Gandhi' and Nikhil Advani's 'Salaam-e-Ishq'. Kapoor has also signed Khanna for his next production, starring Aishwarya Rai.
