Isha's loss, Sushma's gain

Did you know that Sushma Reddy's role in Priyadarshan's 'Chup Chup Ke' belonged to Isha Sharvani? Isha opted out of the part before the cast went on location to shoot his remake of the 1998 Malayalam hit 'Punjabi House'.
Priyadarshan wanted someone warm and sensitive would look convincing in a widow's clothes and Isha seemed the ideal choice. The unit was ready to shoot when Isha suddenly backed out at the eleventh hour - citing that she had a problem with dates as she was shooting for a Ram Gopal Varma film.
