Chup Chup Ke: Best UK figures for Shahid-Kareena

The UK has given Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor reason to rejoice.
According to the IMDB, their previous release '36 China Town' grossed £83,040 on its opening weekend across 34 screens, making the screen average £2,442. However, Shahid-Kareena's recent release, 'Chup Chup Ke' (distributed overseas by U T V) grossed £79,307 across merely 28 screens, thereby delivering a higher screen average of £2,832.
Commendably, 'Chup Chup Ke' has been able to generate a higher screen average despite the World Cup onslaught and a competing release on the same day, while '36 China Town' opened with no opposition in the UK!
