Controversy surrounds 'Deewane Huye Paagal'

Akshay Kumar is at the receiving end again. While his performance in 'Deewane Huye Paagal' has found tremendous appreciation he is being accused by industry gossipmongers for getting Shahid Kapoor's role chopped.
"At the time of the scripting itself (before the camera rolled) a large chunk of Shahid's role was edited. Once the shooting commenced there was a threat of his role being chopped even further. I don't know why he prefers to keep quiet. I think he's very scared of the producer (Feroz Nadiadwala). Anyone in his place would've walked out." Vikram Bhatt has directed 'DHP'.
This isn't the first time an allegation of the sort has been hurled at Akshay. During 'Aan - Men At Work', Akshay enjoyed more footage than Suniel Shetty as well. Only recently he was accused of getting John Abraham's role hacked in 'Garam Masala'.
Everyone knows how close Akshay is to producer Firoz Nadiadwala. Those who've seen 'Deewane Huye Paagal' have loved it but can't fathom why Shahid agreed to do a role like that!
