'Paheli' on its way to the Oscars

Shah Rukh Khan & Red Chillies Entertainment's 'Paheli' has been selected as India's entry in the foreign films category at the Oscars. Shah Rukh is also one of the lead characters, along with actress Rani Mukherjee.
"I'm happy at the nomination of the film for the Oscars", said director Amol Palekar.
'Paheli' was chosen for the nomination after it beat 14 other films including 'Swades', 'Veer-Zara', 'Black', 'Parineeta', 'Page 3', 'Iqbal', 'Mangal Pandey' and Marathi film 'Uttarayan'.
