'My dad has not kicked me out'

Rumours are flying thick and fast that Munnabhai MBBS item girl Mumait Khan and her sister have been shown the door by their father. So long as Mumait was going all out on item numbers, it was okay. But Mr. Khan is said to have lost his cool when he saw that both his daughters set the screens on fire together in the Loot Gaye song in ‘Hulchul’. However, Mumait denies it outright. "My father is a very simple man. He never objected to my profession. Why would he object to my sister's role?" she shoots back.
So what's coming up? Mumait has no films in her kitty. She says, "I never did any PR, nor went to parties. That's why I am out of work. Else, these guys would have fitted me in some role or the other."
The girl is frank enough to admit that there is a man in her life. "He stays in London and will be coming to India in 3-4 months. I cannot reveal his name to you. At the moment, I would prefer saying that we are just good friends. Let's see how far does this relationship go. He is not from the industry though," she says, with a mischievous glint in her eye.
The girl in question says that tongues may have begun to wag because she and her sister stay in her flat at Hiranandani Complex, Powai, these days. Earlier, the family used to stay in a chawl at Kandivali. "Mummy keeps shuttling between Hiranandani and Kandivali. Perhaps, the fact that my sister and I are making it out on our own has given rise to these rumours," Mumait concludes.
