Bachchans' films flout norms, become tax-free!

Is it any coincidence that most or all Amitabh Bachchan films in Uttar Pradesh have been given tax-free status even though they don't warrant or deserve the same in keeping with prescribed rules and guidelines! (How else would you explain films like 'Khakee', 'Dev' and 'Deewaar' enjoying this status? And also that no other state found them remotely worthy of according this status to the movies?)
This, obviously, is thanks to Bachchan's friendship with the Chief Minister, Mulayam Singh Yadav, and MP Amar Singh. Also, Jaya Bachchan is the Chairperson of the UP Film Development Council. Not surprisingly, even some of Abhishek Bachchan's recent releases have been made tax-free (such as 'Yuva' and 'Om, Jai, Jagadish').
To hell with the country's coffers, friendship comes first!
