Yuva's cinematographer Ravi K Chandran has opted for a radical perspective, employing three different styles to spotlight the basic essence of each character. Arjun Balakrishnan (Vivek Oberoi) is the urbane, upper crust engineer who is readying to leave for USA. A modern style framing utilizing a tele-lens extensively, lends a yuppie look to the frames. Lallan (Abhishek Bachchan) is a product of Kolkata streets who knows no fear - wild, loud and untamed but extremely charming when he wants to be. The edgy side to Lallan's character has been stressed by with wide-angle, hard light, hand-held and high contrast framing. Michael Mukherjee (Ajay Devgan) is a rebel, a genius, and a child prodigy who challenges every wrong and wouldn't hesitate to be violent when provoked.
