Ever since Soha expressed interest to enter Bollywood, speculation has been rife on which would be her first film to hit the theatres.
Initially, it was said that Yash Chopra wanted to sign her. Then there were reports that Soha had signed a film with director Amol Palekar. Since Palekar was in Bangkok that time to collect the best director award for his film 'Anahat', his confirmation was kept in abeyance. Meanwhile, Soha too kept a low profile. Then, we suddenly heard that she was not doing Palekar's film. Neither of the two spoke to the media thereafter.
This is the inside story:
Speaking to this writer, Soha informs, "I listened to Palekar's script. I liked it and I was ready. But he wanted me to ensure that his film would be my first film to hit the theatres."
Why couldn't she do that? "Because I was doing a Bengali film with Reema Sen and a newcomer Adil. It is likely that the Bengali film would be soon ready. How could I stop that?"
Soha has completed shooting for the Bengali film. She was required for just 15 days.
That should put all the guesses to rest why Mansur Ali Khan's daughter refused to act in Amol Palekar's film.
