This fairytale story tells of three friends, a beautiful girl, a rock-n-roll dude and a geek. Both guys fall in love with the girl, making it a love triangle until only one can have her love in the end.
Salman Khan plays the long-haired rocker dude Suhaan Kapoor. Described as being immature and totally into only himself and his dreams for the most part, he fails to really see what matters in his life.
Akshay Kumar takes on the role of the perm-haired and glasses-wearing geek Agastya Rao. Although simple, and sweet, he gets all flustered around the woman he loves and the words just don't come out right. Yet, he perseveres as he believes in the power of love.
Preity Zinta is the beauty Piya Goyal, who appears to have everything, looks, brains and money. What most don't see is that she is very lonely; plagued with a heartache that won't leave her no matter what she does to quell it.
It's not until ten years later that the three met up again and find that the love still grows strong between them. Only this time a choice must be made, who will become the ultimate love of Piya's life? It's a wake up call, as now is the time to decide what really matters in life.
Will the song Sau Dard give it all away or is there still a chance for the one who sings the words (in Sonu Nigam voice) "A hundred pains, a hundred cures for the pain. I got it all my love, I just didn't get you. Feels like the wind has stopped blowing and like a dried up leaf on the streets of the city, I am flying around all alone. A hundred roads, but yours is missing. Let the water flow. Let time stand still. If the river has made a turn, let the shore bear it. A hundred yearnings, but am not sad over you. Alone, alone, he is alone. He is alone. Walk alone, walk alone."
Be at the theaters this Diwali/Eid to know for sure.
