Shikhar is a film that shows what happens when those who want to get rich at any cost come up against those who hold dearly to their traditional Indian values.

Shridhan Vardhan (Jawed Sheikh) is one such person who leaves his position as an industrial magistrate in the lucrative business world to become a social activist. He becomes known as Guruji and begins teaching the ways of tradition, while longing to see the uplifting of the tribal people in the Sahyadrris.

Gaurav Gupta (Ajay Devgan), on the other hand, falls into the first category mentioned. He is a man who has actually sold his soul to the world of riches. He dreams include usurping the Vardhan Empire. In doing so, Gupta will have to face Guruji and his unshaken faith in traditional values.
During this "battle" between the two, Gupta finds a way to undermine Guruji and stab him, so to speak, in his heart as he takes advantage of someone he holds so dear - his only son Jaidev (Shahid Kapur). Having just recently graduated, Jaidev is new to the world, untainted and unfortunately vulnerable and ripe for Gupta's dastardly scheme. Gupta forms a friendship with the unsuspecting Jaidev and when the time is right, proposes that they work together on project that will improve the image of Vardhan Industries.

A huge advertising campaign is shot in Singapore, where a large unit of models and crew are involved. Jaidev is taken in deep to this whole new experience of the "good life" and in doing so falls in love with one of the models (Bipasha Basu). Gupta now has Jaidev right where he wants him and watches carefully as he begins to succumb to the traps he has so cleverly laid out for him.

Will Jaidev will stick to the values that his father had instilled in him during his formative years or will he become one of the many enslaved to the corporate world of riches and all the pitfalls which await him? Be at the theater for its release to find out.
