Mani Ratnam's 'Yuva' is one of the most awaited films of 2004 and is bound to experience good results when it opens on May 21st.

'Yuva' is about three young men from three different strata of society, with three different views towards it. Confused? Hold on.

Ajay Devgan is Michael Mukherjee, a child prodigy who is invited to America to achieve his PhD under Nobel laureate Weinberg. Michael is violent and cannot tolerate anything he believes to be wrong.

Esha Deol is Radhika Michael's love. She teaches French and studies politics. While Esha is keen on marriage, Ajay wants her to move in with him, not believing in the institution of marriage.

Vivek Oberoi plays Arjun Balakrishnan, an engineer on his way to the US. He believes in minimum efforts and maximum returns. He is ready to do anything to live life fully, lie, bend the rules, and cajol even beg if he has to!

Vivek's girl friend, which he meets in a discotheque, is Mira played by Kareena Kapoor. She plans to settle and raise a family in Kanpur.

Abhishek Bachchan is Lallan, a product of the Calcutta streets. The language that he knows best is violence .At times he is a charmer too and loves his middle class wife Sashi, played by Rani Mukherjee.

How the paths of all the above-mentioned characters cross and change their lives is what 'Yuva’ is all about.
