Historically, films in Bollywood that have their release dates delayed or which take ages in making, tend to flop at the box-office, possibly because movie-goers lose their enthusiasm. A number of things caused a delay in the release of 'Meri Biwi Ka Jawab Nahin' when it was actually ready to be released after years in making. But it seems this star-studded action flick will challenge low expectations when audiences visit the theatres.

'Meri Biwi Ka Jawab Nahin', which was written, produced and directed by S. M. Iqbal, includes a plethora of stars, including Sridevi, Akshay Kumar, Gulshan Grover, Laxmikant Berde, Anupam Kher, Kiran Kumar, and Johnny Lever. Believe it or not, the film began its creation when Akshay Kumar was only a novice in Bollywood, and Sridevi had already established herself as an accomplished actress.

The story revolves around Durga (Sridevi), an outspoken and daring village girl who marries a police officer named Ajay (Akshay Kumar), and moves from her rural home to the city to live. Accustomed to the close knit community back home, Durga curiously seeks out knowledge of everything taking place in her neighborhood, and everyone in it.

Ajay is the ideal cop, a brave and honest inspector, who has frequent confrontations with the local gangsters who work for Bhairav (Anupam Kher). However, the more respected officer D.S.P. Chorasia (Kiran Kumar) corruptly assists Bhairav and his men, and this matter remains unknown to Ajay.

One day, Durga becomes involved in a fight, which, results from trying to defend a young girl from Bhairav's men, and Bhairav's wine shop is destroyed. In addition, Durga destroys Bhairav's brothels to protect a girl from entering prostitution. By this time, Bhairav has had enough of this newcomer, but Ajay and Durga stand firm against him, with the law on their side.

Comic relief comes in the form of Johnny Lever, who never fails to put a smile on our faces.

Keep an eye out for 'Meri Biwi Ka Jawab Nahin', hitting theatres on either the 19th or 26th of March.
