This is a cool, time pass sort of film that one watches with buddies or girlfriends/boyfriends with a bucket of caramel popcorn. It's a very urban film.

It starts by being a time pass sort of affair between two adults and develops into a relationship that lasts for three years. Finally the girl, Trisha (Mallika Sherawat), a fully clad one, proposes marriage to her man, Sid (Rahul Bose). This takes him completely unawares especially since he's busy watching the Indo-Pak match in its last stages.

Sid aka Siddharth is a DJ and is decently well off. He has a girlfriend Trisha. We've already told you that she proposes to him. His reaction; surprise and confusion, puts her off! He thinks about it a lot and finally consents to marriage, although he admits to himself that he isn't ready for it.

There's a lot humour to show their temporary break up and make up instead of melodrama. That's what makes this film a lot of fun.

The couple decides to get engaged. Trisha even thinks of names for their kids which scares Sid even more of the thought of marriage.

His worst nightmare however, turns out to be his meeting with Trisha's father, Retired General Mallick (Sharat Saxena) aka Papa as Trisha would have him referred to. He hates the very sight of Sid and constantly tries to run him down. Finally there's an altercation between the two that results in Trisha walking out of Sid's life. Intermission!

Trisha gets back to her rich and successful ex-fiancé (Jas Arora).

The lovers meet in the end leading to a funny climax that goes with the wacky mood of the film.

The film has lots of funny sequences. One sequence that stands out is when the three dejected guys, Sid, his bro-in-law, Kapil (Aamir Bashir), and his nutty roommate cum friend, Nanoo (Ranvir Sheorey), go to a disc. Sid is shocked by the kind of women who approach him, while Kapil is zapped when a gay propositions him, and the nutty Nanoo is desperately wooing two women on the dance floor to later get beaten up by the bouncers.

The film has its flaws too. The post-interval section drags a bit but a couple of sequences make up for it. Like the time when Sid goes to the item girl Sophie Choudhary's house for coffee. The foursome; Rahul- Sophie- Jas-Mallika going out for dinner together is another interesting one.

Now for the performances. Rahul Bose is excellent. Mallika Sherawat is a surprise package. No oomph at all. She plays the girl next door to perfection. Sophie provides the glamour in her brief role. Ranvir Shoerey is another actor who stands out with his brand of humour. Aamir Bashir is natural, as usual.

Pritam's music jells with the mood of the film. The most endearing part of the film is its simplicity and humour. The dialogues are superb especially the one where Mallika looks at Sophie's skimpy outfit and says how she would never be able to carry off something like that!

On the whole, the film is refreshing because of its different theme and is handled very well. It's surely a hit with the multiplex audience.
