Versatile playback singer Asha Bhosle released the music of Sahara One Motion Pictures 'CORPORATE' at a glittering event at Planet M on Thursday May 25, 2006 along with Director Madhur Bhandarkar, Music director Shamir Tandon, playback singer Kailash Kher Shontanu Aditya, CEO, Sahara One Media Entertainment and Limited *and *Sandeep Bhargava, Chief Operating Officer - Sahara One Motion Pictures.
'Corporate' is an expose, tackling the underbelly of the world of business and the film's music reflects all that goes on behind the glittering, glossy exterior of corporate world.
Shamir Tandon, who had previously composed music for 'Page 3', has composed music of 'Corporate'. The 'Corporate' tracks are a heady mix of racy and soothing numbers sung by talented and renowned names like Asha Bhonsle, Kailash Kher, Sapna Mukherjee, Alisha Chinai, Vasundhara Das and Gary Lawyer.
Talking about the music of the film, Director Madhur Bhandarkar states "Music is a very essential part of any film and it follows the flow of the film. The songs take the narration of the film forward and thus form an integral part of the film as a whole."
"Scoring music for non-musical subjects is very difficult. Madhur Bhandarkar makes hard hitting realistic cinema and it's not possible to place unwanted songs in his films. All tracks that we compose are very relevant and brief-driven. Madhur and my musical tastes match and with him I get a free hand to recreate melodies of the past. We got a lot of critical acclaim for our music in 'Page 3' and I pray that our audiences at large appreciate our music in Corporate as well" says Music Director Shamir Tandon.
