Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai... Say it is love... And so began not only the debut film for our Star of the Week, Hrithik Roshan, but the igniting of Hrithikmania.
This six foot green eyed muscular son of film industry's famous Rakesh and Pinky Roshan, had made his mark with this home production. That was just three short years ago. Since then he has completed nine other films including, Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham (2001), Main Prem Ki Deewani Hoon (2003), and soon to be released Koi...Mil Gaya. He's presently filming Lakshya for a release later this year, where he plays an army man. Although his adult film career is still young, Hrithik, a.k.a. Duggu is no stranger to the world of the silver screen. Besides being a child actor for three films in 1980 and one in 1986, he has been assisting his father on many a production. But this overnight stardom was almost cut short after his father had an assassination attempt made on his life. After much deliberating with himself, he decided to forge ahead despite his unsure future.
By looking at this loquacious individual, one would never think he had been a very introverted young man with a stammering problem. Hrithik had his work cut out for him if he was going to make it in the big scheme of things. His took his first step in the right direction by attending not only acting and singing, but dancing and speech classes to boot. His physique started to take shape when his friend Salman Khan took him under his wing and instructed him on bodybuilding and the importance of good nutrition. It became a daily regimen which Hrithik still follows to this day.
