How do you find 'Good Boy, Bad Boy' interesting and what is your role in it?
It is a comedy and fun-filled movie with a college backdrop. It is about two people with different attitudes. One of them is nerdy, which is played by me and other one is a flirtatious guy played by Emraan. I play the "good boy" in the film. It is a fun, disorganized, innocent college film without violence. Himesh's music is also one of the selling factors. Dard-e-Dil is my solo song in the film and the music is quite impressive.
How was your experience working in the film?
It was fun working with talented people like Emraan, Tanushree and Esha. Emraan is quite chilled out, a down to earth person with no insecurities. Tanushree is like a kid, unaware of the film's politics and Esha is quite a dedicated and sweet girl. Ashwini is very sharp and knows exactly what he wants in a film. Even Subhash Ghai was equally participative and guided us whenever required.
How do you select films and prepare for roles?
I am a director's actor and look for good director and script before signing any film. I always prepare for my roles. I am trying different roles now in films like 'Shootout At Lokhandwala' and other films. Sometimes you just have to be yourself on the sets like in 'Kya Kool Hai Hum' and sometimes you have to prepare like in 'Golmaal'. I had to do a lot of homework. What are the similarities and differences between you and your character? I was like my character Rajan during my school days, but different like Emraan's character in college days. I have enjoyed both phases equally. |
