How was your experience making 'Good Boy, Bad Boy' with Mukta Arts?
After the success of 'Dhoom' and other youth-based film, Subhash Ghai offered me this film. It is always great to work with such a reputed banner. It is a young campus film, set in Bombay. It is about today's youth with two different segments. One is nerdy and concentrates on studying with serious approach to life and the other segment has a casual approach towards life. It is how both segments can be successful in life irrespective of their image. It is a situational comedy with a good moral message.
How much freedom did you have while making this film?
I was free and permitted to do whatever I wanted to do. About casting, whenever you read a script, that itself narrates the characters to you. I always wanted Emraan as a bad boy and Tusshar as a good boy. Even the music by Himesh is a major plus point. I was allowed to have my creative independence. When you work with a reputed banner everything becomes easier. I am glad to be working with them. Subhashji was a major guiding force.
What earlier work you have done?
I was a journalist for Indian Express and was also involved in cinema and theatre. I won a national award for my first film 'Laado'. Then I went on to make 'Siskiyaan' and 'Dhoop'. I intend to continue with more good work.
