Your last couple of films haven't fared well at box office. Are you tense now?
When your new film is releasing, you feel the nervousness and I am not an exception to that. But I don't take undue tension. I have put in good work and am confident about the film.
But the films not faring well must be playing on your mind?
See, here, formula works more than anything. At times, my films may have not worked at the box office, but my producers have rarely lost money on the table. Even in my last film 'Red', producers earned. As long as I am making films within the stipulated budget and time, I don't think my producers will have a problem with me.
But 'Life Mein Kabhie Kabhiee' surely lacks star value?
It doesn't matter. I have delivered hits in the past even without stars. Non-star cast films like 'Khosla Ka Ghosla' and 'Pyar Ke Side Effects' have done well. While on the other hand, big star cast films like 'Eklavya' and 'Salaam-E-Ishq' bombed at the box office.
What are your next projects?
I have completed 'Speed' and 'Fear'. I am now supposed to start working on projects with Ashtavinayak Films, N.R. Pachisia and Percept. |
