Do you think this is right film for you to make debut?
I think so because mine is a very powerful performance-based role. I know this is not the conventional way to start in mainstream Hindi cinema, but I have no complaints because my role is so exciting.
You have come from modeling world. Do you honestly like typical Bollywood, masala films?
Very much. I am dying to do a typical dancing, singing type heroine. I am a trained classical dancer. Besides, I have learnt Bollywood dancing from Shakoor.
Have you signed any new films?
Yes. I have signed Tigmanshu Dhulia's 'Fame'.

Isn't this a different type of role than what you have done before?
Yes, I do agree. In most of my past films I played a troubled character. But here, I play a street smart, happy-go-lucky character.
People have this perception that you do only offbeat films?
That's wrong perception. I am very much open to mainstream Bollywood films. And I'm even ready to do southern films.
What are your other projects?
'Breaking News' is complete. Then, there is an interesting film called 'Amal', where Naseeruddin Shah plays the lead role. |
