Salman Khan with Priyadarshan |
Buzz is, the script of 'Garam Masala' is being taken from the English play 'Plane Crazy About Love'?
It was first used for the film 'Boeing Boeing', made in the 60's. It's a 45-year-old film and after 25 years, there is no copyright anywhere in the world.
Did you make Salman watch the original 'Talvattam' on which 'Kyon Ki' is based?
No. I didn't make Salman watch the original 'Talvattam' made in Tamil, because I wanted him to act as himself. But 'Kyon Ki' is not a replica of 'Talvattam'. I have changed the end and the whole flashback sequence. The original had three songs, here I have six. You can say that the screenplay is completely changed. I have just kept the storyline at the periphery.
Which one will do better in totality- 'Garam Masala' or 'Kyon Ki'?
How can I say that? Both are my babies and I hope they do equally well, though that will be known in the next few days. I'm especially excited about working on 'Kyunki'. I am sure it will take me back to the genre of my earlier films like 'Virasat' and 'Gardish', which I treasure a lot. I am making a conscious effort now to bring in more emotion in my films and move away from laugh riots. Most humour films have a short shelf life.
The three heroines - Daisy, Nargis and Neetu were apparently not happy with each other. Did they create any problems on the sets?
They wouldn't dare create any problems on the set. They are very intelligent that way. They know that if they do, their scenes will be cut down. I was not even aware of any problem between them. I just found out now. |
