PRIYADARSHAN is confident that both his films- 'Kyon Ki' and 'Garam Masala' released last week will do well. Both films are doing fairly good business, though neither of them has received rave reviews.
Excerpts from an interview by VICKEY LALWANI:
For those who haven't seen them as yet, tell us about 'Kyon Ki' and 'Garam Masala'.
'Kyon Ki' is the most intense film I have ever made. It is a love story set in a mad house. It is my version of 'One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest'. Salman plays a mental patient in the movie. 'Garam Masala' is a comedy about youngsters who indulge in two-timing and get caught.
'Garam Masala' is being touted as a remake of your Malayalam comedy 'Boeing Boeing' featuring Mohanlal, which was reportedly inspired from a 1960’s Tony Curtis comedy?
It's not a remake per se, but yes, an inspiration. |
