Madhur Bhandarkar with Bipasha Basu at the launch of 'Corporate' |
Has life changed after the huge success of 'Page 3'?
I know what you trying to ask. Well, let me tell you that life has not changed. People haven't changed and neither have I. Success is a temporary phase of life and that's why every six months I watch Guru Dutt's 'Kagaz Ke Phool' (smiles).
You must be disappointed that although 'Page 3' won the National Award, 'Paheli' was chosen as India's entry to the Oscars?
Ab main kya bolu? (What can I say)? Hmmm... I think these things do happen, but I respect the jury's decision. I am very new to this and I don't know the parameters on which they make their final decision. But yes, being naturally passionate about my product, I think that if 'Page 3' had been chosen, it would have been a great decision.
After Corporate?
I think it will be 'Signal', which will deal with the life of the poor street kids at road signals.
Lessons learned from the Pretti Jain controversy?
There you go again! Okay, if you insist, here they are. I'll cast newcomers only when someone whom I believe in recommends them. I strongly believe that other producers too will be very cautious. It's tough on certain aspirants but what to do? |
