His films are about real people and his latest 'Iqbal' is no exception. eet director Nagesh Kukunoor in a freewheeling with Vickey Lalwani:

How did you choose Shreyas Talpade for the title role?
I needed a bowler who can act, and an actor who could bowl. I tried many guys who could bowl fast with very exciting actions but they couldn't act for nuts. Then I tried many newcomer actors. They gave good expressions and emoted well but they couldn't bowl fast. After a long search, I got both my requirements in Shreyas Talpade.

And Shweta Prasad?
Shweta came through auditions. Only after I had selected her, someone informed me that she had played the lead in 'Makdee'. I saw 'Makdee' only after that. She was very good in 'Makdee'. She is excellent in 'Iqbal'.
