Bobby Deol in 'Barsaat' |
Bobby Deol, the charmer has not been lucky at the marquee. Awaiting 'Barsaat' on August 19th, he speaks to Vickey Lalwani about his experiences in the film and lots more...
What is your forthcoming 'Barsaat' all about?
I play Arav who is ambitious enough to leave home so that he can better his life abroad. He goes abroad in his pursuit to become a top car designer. In his drive of realizing his ambition, he forgets his wife (Priyanka Chopra) and has another woman in his life (Bipasha Basu) that he meets in Cape Town. Sentimental by nature, Arav does not give a second thought when he hears about his father's illness. He rushes back home to be at his bedside. It's a very realistic film; it's a film which women audiences will identify with, it even deals with divorce and sacredness of marriage but at the same time it's not preachy.
The film has been delayed?
Not really. It was only announced earlier. But if you consider the length of time it took to be made, it was really fast. We started shooting in October 2004. |
