On one side, the publicity would have been in full swing with just a few days to go before 'No Entry' hit the marquee. Whereas on the other side, there would have been uncertainty behind whether the movie would be able to see a peaceful release at all. Moreover, if by any chance the verdict [which is expected in the middle of this week] was against Salman Khan, it could have had potentially strong repercussions against 'No Entry'.
Not that there won't be any nervous pangs for Boney Kapoor but there are hopes that the dust will settle down in a matter of few days and Bollywood's functioning will continue as always. Nevertheless, Boney Kapoor will be relieved by the thought that MPKK has received positive reports all over, with Salman Khan coming up with yet another winner. His 'No Entry' should only gain due to its advantage of being a multi-starrer, which traditionally bring in the moolah!
Meanwhile, there is one filmmaker who continues to be in the news each and every week [if not every day]. We are talking about Ram Gopal Varma, who after announcing a remake of 'Sholay' with his hottest new find Mohit Ahlawat, is daring to unleash him a week after Aamir Khan's 'Mangal Pandey' hits the screens on August 12th. Does this ring a bell? RGV gave his first commercial hit with Aamir in 'Rangeela' around a decade ago and it's a known fact that there hasn't been any love lost between them since. |
