What do you think went wrong with Fida?
I do not like to analyzed after it’s become a hit or a flop. You see, if the film is a hit, people like everything about it. But if it flops people hate everything about it. I think we made a good film and I still stand by my film, which I will do with every film of mine as I choose the subject, and agreed to do it. I think everybody worked very hard in the film and what people did not like was the climax. I think people did not expect that I shot Kareena in the film. They were very shocked by it and they did not like the negative end. Otherwise everything was great in the film, the performances, the music the publicity. I think the climax of the film did not work that’s it.
The audience will get to see you and Kareena in ‘Milenge Milenge’?
I won’t give away anything. It is a conventional love story and we make a special pair. Obviously, Fida did not have any romance between us. I don’t know how people spoke about the chemistry. We just had one song and apart from that there was a nothing. There were no romantic scenes and infact Fardeen had more romantic scenes. ‘Milenge Milenge’ is the film, which the audiences would get to see more of us.
What are the other films you are doing?
John Matthew Matthan’s film, ‘Life Ho To Aise’ with Mahesh Manjrekar and ‘Milenge Milenge’. I am very happy with the way my career is shaping. I just hope to make my directors happy and do my work to the best of my ability. |
