You had the best of offers after Ishk Vishk. What made you do a film with a relatively new director like Anant Mahadevan?
I don’t think the success or failure of a film should decide whether you should work with somebody or not as the biggest of directors who started with disasters and went on to make biggest of hits. When I interacted with him, I saw that he was very passionate about his film and he knew what he was talking about. I felt he has the right perspective in how he treats the film. He didn’t want the film to be very heavy or dramatic. He wanted the film to be a fun caper from beginning to end. It has the tagline that it is the ultimate romantic comedy. So, I wanted to do a film like that and so I did it.
How was it romancing three beautiful girls?
For that you will have to see the film. The character keeps on getting in trouble with all the girls and that’s what the film is all about. The character is about a 19 year old trying to discover love and making all the mistakes that a 19-year-old boy makes. I think all the three girls are very talented and have done a great job. They have well etched out characters and none of the three characters are similar and they are playing three different parts. Each part does bring about some change in the film.
