February 9, late evening, Hotel Sun-n-Sand (Juhu, Mumbai) was a picture of splendor. Occasion: The launch of a film starring the still handsome Jackie Shroff and the increasingly sexy Mandira Bedi.
The film also stars Sonu Sood and Master Parth (who played Aishwarya Rai's son in 'Kuch Naa Kaho') in principal roles.
The film in question was 'Divorce', which has an interesting footnote attached to it- 'Not between husband and wife'.
Producer-director M.J. Ramanan (a US resident), who started his career as an assistant director for an Indo-US production 'Binodini', a film based on a story by Rabindranath Tagore, looked a picture of confidence while divulging that the film was based on a true-life incident that happened in California some years back.
