A quick parlez vous with John Abraham
Are you looking forward to 'Aetbaar'?
Yes, also because it's the first film I signed. It so happened that 'Jism' released first! I'm looking forward to its release, because it's not the conventional song-and-dance kind-of role! My character is not entirely negative though it has shades of grey. It's a film about relationships and their complexities.
Tell us about Pooja Bhatt's debut directorial venture 'Paap'?
Pooja is special to me. I did 'Jism' of which she was the producer. Now she's directing this film. I play a cop. It's premised around a girl (debuting model Udita Goswami) who dares to break the rules of a monastery. It was a great experience shooting it near the Indo-Tibet border. You have to check out Pooja's sense of visualisation in this film.
In Vicky Kumar's 'Lakeer', you are featuring with several other actors?
Yes, it's a multi-starrer. I play Suniel Shetty's younger brother, who works for Sunny Deol. Sunny has underworld links. Sohail Khan plays Sunny's brother. We fall in love with the same girl! (played by Nauheed Cyrusi of 'Supari' and 'Inteha'). If that's what you are about to ask me, I'm not worried about my character getting lost. Everyone has a fair and substantial bit to do in it.
Do you feel bad about the debacle of 'Saaya'?
Yeah, we really put our heart into 'Saaya'. I thought the movie looked really good and even Tara (Sharma) had immense freshness about her. But people probably expected another 'Bhoot' out of it.
Are you finally admitting to your relationship with Bipasha?
I've never believed in discussing my personal life. It's personal! The media can write what they have to. As for Bipasha, she's a wonderful person and we share a great chemistry! |
