A recent press conference was held with Mr. Gurpinder Singh and pathologist Dr. Charan Kamal Singh the father and uncle respectively of the Late Ishmeet Singh, winner of voice of India. They are leaving to Maldives to request its government to set in motion an inquiry into the cause of Ismeet's death.

His father said, "It has been a month now. Ishmeet left us on 29 July and no action has been taken concerning it. If such a situation is there in the case of a celebrity then I think the common man is not safe at all."

He said, "I tried to contact his friends who were present with him but I was not provided the numbers of anyone and they were not ready to talk.

When the body was handed over to us and we opened the zipper, the forehead had a cut in front and clots on the right side of his head.  He also had blood in his nose and mouth.

Is it possible that one can drown in the pool of five-star hotel? How can a six-foot boy drown in four and a half foot water level? This is just not believable.

Vyom, who was with him, told us that he kept telling Ishmeet not to go in as it was deep. However, the question is, how can one drown without being injured? Why would he go to the pool just after lunch and that too with a t-shirt especially when he had event the next day? Did he really drown or was he made to drown?"

His uncle Charan Singh said, "When we got the news, we prepared ourselves, but as soon as we saw his body, things were speaking loud and clear. The clot or hematoma present is only possible when something hard strikes the nerves and crushes the blood vessels. Another question is why, instead of being filled with water, did Ishmeet have blood in his mouth and nose.

If he walked and sunk in such a condition that the lightest part of his body was on top and the heavier part was below, then how was it possible that his head struck the bottom of pool? He was badly hurt, which cannot happen when water acts as a resistance.

We request the media to take charge in clarifying whether he drowned on his own or was drowned. The postmortem reports do not clarify it.

When he was taken to the hospital, they specified that drowning seemed to be the secondary cause of death. Then what was the primary cause of death? We have to find out that primary cause. Maybe was it the injury."
