The release of this year's most anticipated movie 'Kaante' has been postponed yet again by another week. 'Kaante', which is expected to pull Indian movie industry out of the lull it is currently facing, will now be released on December 13th instead of December 6th, as announced earlier.
There are whispers in the industry that issues between USA based producer Raju Patel and director Sanjay Gupta are partly to blame for the delay but the real reason seem to be the delayed arrival of Kaante's negative from the USA.
Because of the delay the censor board officials could only watch the film on Monday to issue the censor certificate.
Kaante, which stars Amitabh Bachchan, Sanjay Dutt, Sunil Shetty, Kumar Gaurav, Mahesh Manjrekar and Lucky Ali, is expected to be released with approx. 800 prints worldwide. There is also likelihood that the film’s dubbed Japanese version might be released simultaneously. |
