Veteran producer-director B R Chopra will be the recipient of prestigious Phalke Ratna Award. The Dadasaheb Phalke Academy will honor him with this award at the function in Mumbai. In all, 37 cine associations all over India are connected with this academy and soon the recipients of the other awards will be announced.
Earlier late Shri Sunil Dutt (2005) and Shri Dilip Kumar (2007) were honored with Phalke Ratna. The academy will honor many senior film personalities for their valuable contribution towards the film industry by presenting them trophies.
